PR’ Aliak’s As Time Goes By V. Shalimar was born on February 1st 2010 to parents: CH’ PR’ Del Mar’s Darrk Milominit Aliak and CH’ PR’ Naitok’s Kivalina’s Song V. Aliak.

I am a Black/White Mini Male with blue eyes and a very friendly personality.

Welcome to Shalimar Acres, home of the Alaskan Klee Kai! We are located in Summerville, PA and Klee Kai have been part of our family since 2000.

We are registered with the United Kennel Club and American Rare Breed Association. We do not breed for coat or eye color, instead health, quality and temperament are our first priorities. All dams and sires are DNA profiled and we are an ongoing full participant in AKK Liver Enzyme, Factor VII and thyroid testing.

the Kennel

Our kennel was constructed in 2001, and is a shed conversion project. There are currently 7 kennels, half inside, and half outside, separated by a doggie door. There are 2 separate play-yards, one for males, and one for females, and a larger co-mingling kennel for our “couples only”. Kennel fence is 5′ high, and the surrounding play-yard perimeter fence is 6′ high.

Visitors are welcome, but please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

GRCH ‘PR’ Jemira’s Kiesha v. Shalimar was born on May 6, 2002, to parents: ’PR’ Alasco’s Nuya Jemira and ‘PR’ Jemira’s Asa Nakit Alasco, owned by Chris Shackelford of Alabama.

I am a gray and white, standard, long-haired, double brown eyed female. Mommy says I’m a real “puff ball”!

Kiesha Wins “Best Puppy” in the Puppy Fun Match at Garden State Kennel Club at just 9 weeks old! AND Reserve Best Puppy In Multi-Breed Show at Kentucky Toy Fox Terrier Association at 5 1/2 Months Old! AND Earns her UKC CH Title AND Wins a Group 2 Placement in her 2nd licensed show at just 6 months old!! AND Earns her UKC GRCH Title and Wins a Group 3 Placement in her 4th licensed show at just 7 months old! AND Kiesha is the first long-haired AKK to earn her GRCH title!! AND Kiesha ends her 2002 Show Career and finished the year as the #7 AKK and Seventh Place Qualifier in the TOP TEN AKK Breed!

Kiesha is having a very successful 2003 Show Career as of April with her BEST IN MULTI-BREED SHOW win at Somers, CT, 6 Group 1 Placements, 9 Group 2 Placements, 2 Group 3 Placements and 2 Group 4 Placements.

We first fell in love with the breed after reading the March 2000 issue of Dog Fancy Magazine. After researching this new, rare breed, contacting several breeders, and being added to waiting lists, our dream of being owned by our first AKK came true in June 2000.

I am pleased to introduce GRCH’PR’ La Femme Nakita, affectionately called “Nikki”, born April 27, 2000. Nikki and her 3 sisters are a result of a mating between:

GRCH ‘PR’ Helderbergs Sobachka Nakit Alasco, owned by Jim and Marilyn Butler of NY,
and ’PR’ Alyeska Hope, owned by Ruth Elliott of PA.

Nikki is a miniature, gray and white, double brown eyed female.
